Celebrating the Centenary of the 1917 Russian Revolution

Lidcombe Community Centre, 3 Bridge Street, Lidcombe

Under Lidcombe Library only a short walk from Lidcombe train station.

Performances by Sydney Trade Union Choir and Migrante Kultura Singing Collective
Video excerpts from Sergei Eisenstein’s 1927 film October: Ten Days That Shook The World,and from Warren Beatty’s 1981 movie The Reds.

Presentations on the events of 1917 in Russia, and on the cultural impact of the Revolution on the Russian people, and on the wider political impact including in Australia and the Philippines, with questions and general discussion.

Concluding with a Toast and singing The Internationale

Light meal will be served.
